Resin tatami-omote is a synthetic fiber developed as the modern counterpart to natural igusa rush. It resists fading, stains, and humidity — qualities that make it well-suited to daily wear in a way traditional tatami isn't.
Handcrafted in Kumamoto by a 4th-generation artisan, the exterior is finished with a tatami-style weave, framed with a refined leather-look trim and structured base.
